IPBrick is a innovative Unified Communications system from Europe. This article explains what IPBrick is, and how it differs from the current market leaders

Imagine that you are setting up a new business selling electrical parts to electricians.

You have 20 staff, a trade counter and a warehouse. What Information Technology would your business need?

  • Telephone system (Needed to talk customers, suppliers and staff at both sites )
  • Email/Calendaring Server (You need email full stop. You can’t do business without email)
  • File Server (Need to store, quotes, letters to suppliers, parts lists etc, etc)
  • Fax Machines ( Fax is not dead, you still need it )
  • Sales Database or Customer Relationship Management software

There are at least five distinct systems you need to purchase or rent. All of them with separate management and operational costs.

Will these systems easily integrate together without complex middleware (software that makes stuff talk to each other)?

If your best customer rang and emailed your trade counter about Purchase order #1234, would your sales or CRM database automatically know that this happened.

The chances are until now; you have not found such a system.

Unified Communication

The Unified Communications market will be worth $17.6 billion in 2014. Gartner published this figure in June 2010.

By June 2010, an 11 year old company based in Portugal had already been selling an innovative Unified Communications system called IPBrick.

IPBrick is different because of its simplicity and ease of use. All the key components are integrated right from installation.

Most Unified Communications systems are unified in the sense that they work on one network, the internet, but they are still sold and managed as separate modules.

A Unified Communications system is supposed to bring together telephone, email and calendaring and fax so they can work easily across each other.

You should not have to purchase a Unified Communications system then work hard to get all functions to work together.

IPBrick is different. Everything is integrated under one management web page. Integration is also made easier because of the API (Application Programming Interface). The API allows IPBrick to integrate to other systems.

At Trenchant Systems, we love technology that makes things easy.

We could see the benefits that this technology can bring to our customers, so we applied to become the UK distributors of IPBrick products.

IPBrick is still a very early player in the UK market. This is why have produced videos such as the one you see on this webpage. After you watch the video, I hope you will have a complete picture as to how different this technology is

This video provides an overview of some of the key benefits of using IPBrick Unified Communications systems.
